One day I found myself at home, having a massive sweet craving and no chocolate, cookies, cakes or other sweet eats in the pantry. Being lazy and not wanting to go out I realized it was high time to improvise. I had sugar, and cinnamon, but not even sliced bread at the time to toast up for cinnamon toast.....but there, in the back of the fridge were flour tortilla. And this is how this quick snack was born.
Ingredients:
Flour tortillas
Sugar in the Raw (or brown sugar)
Butter
Cinnamon
Repeat these instructions for each tortilla.
In a frying pan heat about a teaspoon of butter and a few tablespoons sugar. Cook until the mixture is very light brown and sugar just begins to melt.
Spread the mixture evenly on bottom of pan. Add flour tortilla and cook a minute or two until the tortilla starts to bubble up and is warmed throughout.
Flip the cooked tortilla caramel side up on a plate and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Cut into strips, wedges, whatever.
Serve with whip cream if you have it.
