This is adapted from a Nestle Cocoa recipe and turns out quite thick and fudgey.
1 2/3 cups sugar
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, melted
1 tablespoon water
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
PREHEAT: oven to 350° F. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
COMBINE: sugar, butter and water in large bowl. Stir in eggs, chocolate syrup and vanilla extract. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a second bowl. Then stir flour into sugar mixture.
BAKE: for 25 to 30 minutes
